BASIC LIFE SUPPORT
This module contains comprehensive and systematically organized review content on Basic Life Support. It is structured to the standards of the American Heart Association training for Basic Life Support. The module constitutes part of preparation resources for candidates intending to be certified in Basic Life Support. The candidate will get a chance to learn all the basics of life support for all populations. Any aspiring candidate is advised to set up a study friendly environment and a well planned revision strategy. It is recommended that learners complete preceding sections of the module systematically before beginning subsequent sections. At the end of the study content, there will be review questions to test the candidate’s understanding before proceeding to attempt the final PALS certification practical session and the examination as prescribed by the American Heart Association. For the candidate to be allowed to attend the final certification session, the prescribed pass mark must be attained. Taking this study module serious is a mandatory requirement for BLS certification.
